Woolly bats hide out unharmed in carnivorous pitcher plants. Zebras welcome red- and yellow-billed oxpeckers onto their backs. Clownfish hang out amid stinging anemones without feeling a pinch. And, get this... a bird called the greater honeyguide lets out a call when it has found a bee nest, allowing honey-hunting humans, such as the Hadza people of Tanzania, to reach the nest and help themselves to the golden nectar. Today’s webinar with Nat Hab Expedition Leader and marine/molecular biologist Eric Alejandro Ramírez Saucedo reveals one of nature’s greatest evolutionary tools: cooperation. Learn how symbiotic relationships between microbes and plants, insects and mushrooms, and humans and other species have helped all living beings thrive and flourish. Decide for yourself if cooperation in the natural world works or if individualism prevailed over the ages. Look at Darwin’s “survival of the fittest” theory in a new light. Eric seeks to ignite a new consciousness about the vital role of each living organism — and their relationships with each other – on our planet.
