Ever since he was a child, Nat Hab Expedition Leader Phillip Behn-Eschenburg Vermehren has been fascinated with nature. Get to know Phillip in today’s webinar, as he talks about his lifelong relationship with flora and fauna and his approach to guiding. His first-hand experience with Nat Hab’s monarch butterfly trip in Michoacan, Mexico—from the staff to Nat Hab’s conservation-centric travel philosophy—reinvigorated Phillip’s passion for wildlife viewing and photography. Following that first trip with Nat Hab, he started a personal photography blog, which he’ll share with you today. “Meet” the various animal species he encountered in Mexico, including the black spiny-tailed iguana, the Mexican mud turtle and several species of snakes. Phillip’s presentation will be a testament to how travel has the ability to inspire us, particularly as we come to appreciate the creatures with which we share our planet. This is also a great time to ask Phillip about our “Kingdom of the Monarchs” trip.
