Tue, Oct 1, 2024
LIVE at 3:00 PM ET / 2:00 PM CT / 1:00 PM MT / 12:00 PM PT

Presented by Sofia Merino & Maru Marcias

Each winter, thousands of gray whales migrate from their feeding grounds in the Arctic to the warm waters along the coast of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula to breed, give birth and nurture their young. At approximately 12,000 miles round-trip, it’s the longest migration of any living mammal! Expedition Leaders Sofia Merino and Maru Marcias discuss these gentle giants and their mega migration, from their unique feeding habits (and how they’ve helped gray whales survive for millions of years) to why they’re considered the friendliest whales on Earth.
