LIVE at 3:00 PM ET / 2:00 PM CT / 1:00 PM MT / 12:00 PM PT

Presented by Daniel Blankenheim

Tucked within the terraced hills of Portugal’s Douro Valley lies a cultural treasure: Europe’s largest open-air collection of Paleolithic rock art. Expedition Leader Daniel Blankenheim shares the story of the discovery of the Coa Valley petroglyphs and details how determined conservationists -- including local high school students -- helped save the site from a dam project that would have submerged the artworks under 300 feet of water. He also explains how these prehistoric engravings have changed our understanding of early human expression.
